Hand carved rocking horses and rocking chairs have been produced by
Classic Kiwi Products at their workshop in
Kerikeri, New Zealand. We have now moved to a new workshop in Waipu, New
Zealand.
Each rocking horse
is individually carved from
laminated timber, this gives the horse a pleasing effect as the lines curve
around the contours. As there are no butt joints in the laminated construction
method and no single grain direction, the horse is generally stronger than the
traditional solid wood carved horse.
While our wooden rocking horses and rocking chairs
are primarily designed to be used, the quality workmanship means they are also a
wonderful piece of art for display. They provide a long lasting companion to be
passed down through future generations.
Rocking horses and rocking chairs are handcrafted to order, although we do hold
some finished stock for people in a hurry. The horses come in a variety of
sizes, colours and stand types to suit all ages and tastes.

of the highest standards. Our products have been designed to be not only usable
but resilient, safe and stylish.
Our laminated timber is a premium furniture grade providing strength and
longevity to the finished product. The finishes used are safe and durable.
All products are unique, having been individually handmade in New Zealand.

Large rocking horse with natural finish and brown
western
saddle

Hand carved laminated and slat back rocking chairs
"Jan opened the case with wide eyes, the
horse is in perfect condition, having survived the long trip here. Jan is
delighted and was the first to sit on and 'ride', it is now placed in our
lounge in front of a large set of doors looking out over the garden.
Thanks again for a beautifully made rocking horse."
